G9 Defense has developed state-of-the-art pistol rounds for law enforcement and military war fighters. These rounds are barrier-blind and armor-piercing across a wide spectrum of calibers and velocities.
The LE/Military (LEM) External Hollow Point bullet features proprietary geometry on the exterior of the projectile that creates a “Barrier Blind” capability and extreme terminal ballistics on target.
Since you sometimes must shoot through an intermediate barrier, the first object the bullet strikes is not always the intended target. The uniquely shaped LEM tip allows penetration through common barriers such as Level IIIA Body Armor, windshields, vehicle sheet metal and drywall with minimal projectile deformation.
While designed to cut through hardened materials, the LEM round decelerates quickly in tissue to prevent over-penetration. The shape of the External Hollow Point is engineered to immediately transfer the maximum amount of energy laterally upon impact with tissue, creating a bursting-type entrance wound, large temporary cavitation and a controlled depth of penetration not seen in Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) or conventional Hollow Point (HP) projectiles.
Minimal deflection is seen when shooting though windshields at targets several feet behind the glass, reducing the chances of errant rounds. In addition to reliable penetration and immediate, dramatic energy transfer into the target, the lightweight LEM projectile greatly reduces felt recoil, allowing for rapid follow up shots
